As a digital creator, it is essential to utilize Windows shortcuts to boost productivity effectively.
Here are the essential keyboard shortcuts for Microsoft Windows that I use all the time.
- Quick Access/Explorer: Win + E
- Task View: Win + Tab
- Switch between Windows: Alt + Tab
- Sleep: Win + X > U > S
- Shutdown: Win + X > U > U
Screenshot Bar: Win + Shift + S
I always screenshot a selected area.
- From the toolbar, choose Rectangular snip.
- Drag around the area you want to capture.
- In the notification window, click the screenshot image.
- Snipping Tool will start and load the screenshot.
- Edit and save.
The screenshots will be copied to the clipboard. You can also use other image editing software, such as Paint.
Game Bar: Win + G
From this toolbar, I use only video capture. Click the Start Recording button (Win + Alt + R). It will capture the active window. For high-quality and high-performance screen recording, I use Bandicam.
